DESCRIPTION:Next to the church is a food bank which is also run by some of the church members.\nThe food bank offers free food to people who are struggling to make ends meet and cannot otherwise afford to purchase essential groceries. \n\nShould you be in a position to help and are able to donate food\, you just need to bring the unopened and in-date food items to the church and leave the rest to us. \nWhat foods do food banks need the most?\nIf you’re donating food then you should focus on nutritional items with a long shelf life. \n\nCereal\nSoup\nPasta\nRice\nTinned tomatoes/ pasta sauce\nLentils\, beans and pulses\nTinned meat\nTinned vegetables\nTea/coffee\nTinned fruit\nBiscuits\nUHT milk\nFruit juice\n\nEssential non-food items like toiletries and hygiene products are also gratefully received.
